In just a few weeks, over one million people in Lebanon have been displaced, nearly a fifth of the population. Families are fleeing with nothing. But there is a second, silent wave of victims: the animals. For street animals, survival in a war zone is slow and brutal, starvation, untreated injuries, and constant fear. In the South, entire villages have been cut off, with animals trapped beyond our reach. They are alone, confused, and suffering. It is devastating for our team to know that there are animals trapped there, animals we can hear about, but physically cannot reach. They do not understand what is happening. They only know they are alone, hungry, and afraid. At the same time, our rescue efforts are at a breaking point. With Beirut airport only partially operating and most flights suspended, animals who were meant to reach their forever homes are now stranded in our shelter.

WE ARE OVER CAPACITY!
Our volunteers have been working around the clock. They are exhausted, physically, emotionally, and mentally. The uncertainty and heartbreak are taking a heavy toll on our entire community, both on the ground and around the world.
And still, they refuse to leave. Many rescues cannot be filmed due to the dangers and restrictions of active conflict zones. Countless lives saved and lost, go unseen. But they are real, and they are happening every day.As global attention shifts, these animals are being forgotten.

WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF FOOD.
WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF SPACE.
WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME.

YOUR SUPPORT IS THE ONLY THING KEEPING THESE ANIMALS ALIVE.
Please help us continue caring for those we’ve saved, and give others still suffering a chance to survive. With heavy hearts and unwavering resolve,The BETA Team
“It’s their planet too”
A MOTHER’S CRYA video of a terrified mother dog crying for help during heavy bombing spread widely, but the area was too dangerous for rescue at the time. When our team gained access, the site had been completely destroyed. After hours of searching, two puppies were found dead and one small puppy was rescued alive. The mother is believed to have died in the strikes.A heartbreaking reminder of the innocent lives lost in a war they never chose.LINK : WATCH FULL RESCUE STORYSupport our rescue workOne family was lost. We weren’t going to let this one suffer the same fate. We received an urgent call from Dahieh about a mother dog and her three puppies living in constant terror. When we arrived, the scene was devastating: the puppies were huddled together, trembling in fear, and one was being actively abused.  Then we saw the mother. She had been shot, yet despite her agonizing injury, she refused to leave her babies. She remained their sole protector until we could step in. We acted immediately, rushing the entire family to safety for the medical care and protection they desperately need. What is striking about this family is how physically different the puppies are from one another, each clearly taking after a different father. Yet, despite their different appearances, they shared the exact same tragic fate of being born into a world of violence. We acted immediately, rushing the entire family to safety to provide the urgent medical care and protection they desperately needed.Today, that fate has changed. Mother and puppies are finally safe and together in our care. This rescue is a stark reminder of the extreme suffering many animals endure and the life-saving impact of fast, decisive intervention.
