What We Do
Founded in 2004, we are Lebanon’s first no-kill shelter and one of the first to start rescuing dogs and cats.
We developed Lebanon’s first TNR program (Trap, Neuter and Return) in cooperation with local municipalities across the country to help reduce the overpopulation of stray dogs and cats.
We rescue all animals that have been abused and abandoned including victims of illegal wildlife trade (from baboons, vervets, macaques, a hyena to a lion).
Rescues often take place in situations that are life threatening for the animals and are often dangerous and difficult for our teams to accomplish but we make sure that each one of our rescues is a success.
We work tirelessly to combat the insidious business of illegal wildlife trafficking, puppy farms and the abusive pet shops that promote it and strongly advocate for people to adopt and not buy their pet. We campaign and educate local communities to prevent animal cruelty, and actively work towards a society that treats all animals with compassion.
We partner with schools across Lebanon to develop an understanding of responsible pet ownership and animal welfare so that our future generations can strive for a “cruelty-free” Lebanon for all.
We aim to rehome every one of our resident cats and dogs to safe and loving families across the world and provide the loving forever homes that our resident horses, donkeys and monkeys deserve.
