Twenty years ago, BETA began as a simple but powerful dream: to stand up for animals in need in a country where their suffering was often unseen and unheard. At a time when countless challenges demanded attention, animals were too often left behind. But we refused to accept that reality.

For two decades, BETA has stood on the front lines of animal welfare—advocating, rescuing, healing, and protecting. We paved the way so that compassion could grow, so that others could stand tall beside us, and so that the voiceless would finally be heard. What began as hope has become a movement.

Today, BETA is home to more than a thousand animals who have found safety, care, and dignity within our walls. Over the past twenty years, we have rescued, rehabilitated, rehomed, and provided sanctuary to more than 8,000 animals—each one a life saved, each one a promise kept. And our work continues every single day.

These 20 years of impact are a testament to the unwavering dedication of our founder, our president and vice president, our board members, our volunteers, and our team—people who gave their time, their energy, and their hearts to this mission. But just as importantly, this milestone belongs to you.

Through years of hardship, uncertainty, and countless challenges, you remained by our side. When the work was heavy and the road difficult, your belief carried us forward. You were—and continue to be—the quiet strength behind every rescue, every healed soul, every life changed.

As we look ahead to the years to come, we do so with hope—and with determination. We are just getting started. In the year ahead, we will be reviving local fundraisers, hosting events to promote adoptions, and bringing back our annual BETA Gala Dinner after seven years—an occasion to celebrate our community, our animals, and the lives we have saved together.
