| Dear Friends, In the streets of Lebanon, life is unbearably cruel for dogs — and for our 75 special needs survivors, it has been a battle for survival every single day. These dogs have known pain most of us could never imagine. Some were shot in the face, leaving them blind. Others were hit by cars, beaten, or paralyzed. Many were left to die alone — unwanted, unseen, unloved: Video summary on youtube (sensitive content) And yet… they survived. Through endless nights of fear and hunger, these incredible souls held onto a spark of hope. When they were finally rescued, they arrived broken — in body, sometimes in spirit — but they never gave up. At our shelter, we’ve watched them heal, trust, and love again. They’ve learned that not all hands hurt. That food will come. That kindness exists. Still, for too long — some for over 4,300 days — they’ve waited behind the gates of the shelter, hoping for someone to see past their scars and see the gentle hearts within. In Lebanon, dogs with special needs are too often viewed as “burdens,” not blessings. But abroad, families are ready to open their hearts and homes to these survivors — to give them the lives they have always deserved. All that stands between them and their new beginning is the journey there. Each dog’s travel, care, and paperwork costs about $800. It’s a huge mission — but it’s their only chance at real love, real safety, real life.Imagine this: A blind dog, once shot and left for dead, sleeping soundly in the arms of someone who loves him. A three-legged survivor running free across a garden, tail wagging under the sun. A paralyzed dog in a wheelchair, finally playing with a family who sees his strength, not his scars. They have endured so much darkness. Together, we can be their light. Your donation can be the bridge between pain and peace. Every dollar, every share, every act of compassion helps us fly them home. Let’s show them that the world still holds kindness. That their lives matter. That after everything they’ve survived, they finally get to live. Please, stand with us. Help us send these 75 brave souls from the streets of Lebanon to loving families abroad. Donate today. Share their stories. Be part of their journey from suffering to safety. -THE BETA TEAM “IT’S THEIR PLANET TOO” |
![]() Rescue of the month Meet Rubble — just 3 and a half years old, yet already carrying the weight of unimaginable suffering. Found wandering the streets of Dahieh, his body is a map of pain and survival. His face bears the worst of it — shattered by blunt force trauma. We don’t know what hit him, only that it was something heavy… something merciless. On top of that, Rubble is battling scabies, ehrlichia, and a body once covered in ticks. He’s been beaten down in every possible way, yet his eyes still search for kindness — still beg for love. Rubble deserves more than the streets that broke him. He deserves healing, comfort, and safety. His fight begins today — but he can’t do it alone. ![]() Transformation of the month When we first rescued Tessie from the streets of Choueifat a few months ago, she was a broken soul — frail, sick, and burdened by years of neglect. Her fur was falling out, her body weak, her eyes full of silent sorrow. Thanks to your love and support, Tessie has blossomed. Her fur is now soft and full, her health restored, and her gentle spirit shines brighter than ever. She’s rediscovering joy — tail wags, cuddles, and hope. Now, Tessie is ready for her next chapter — finding her forever home. She’s sweet, calm, and affectionate, longing for kindness and a family to call her own. After all she’s endured, she deserves a life filled only with love. If you can give Tessie the home she’s been waiting for, please reach out. ![]() Pet of the month Meet Whisk Whisk is a gentle 3-year-old husky rescued from the streets of Klayaat. When he was found, Whisk was already blind. Tests showed that his blindness was caused by severe glaucoma — a buildup of pressure in his eyes that had been left untreated for too long. By the time we reached him, it was too late to save his vision, and the only way to relieve his pain was to remove both eyes. Despite everything, Whisk remains mellow, sweet, and full of quiet strength. He was also Ehrlichia positive, but has since completed his treatment and is doing so much better. Whisk gets along beautifully with other dogs and continues to amaze everyone with his gentle nature. Though he can’t see, he feels every touch of kindness and every bit of love around him. He dreams of a calm, loving home — a place where he can finally feel safe and cherished. If you believe in second chances, let Whisk’s be one of them. ![]() Rescue of the month Meet Rubble — just 3 and a half years old, yet already carrying the weight of unimaginable suffering.
