Reported to us as a hit and run, Poker was found hiding in the bushes.
The impacted cost him a limb, he couldn’t stand he couldn’t move all he could do is crawl, crawl until he felt safe enough to collapse !
Poker was very obviously dumped, the residues of the stitches following his ear cropping procedure were still visible and still fresh !
Pure neglect caused Poker to find himself missing a limb and suffering from a complicated femur fracture in his remaining back limb !
He couldn’t survive the streets even if he wanted to, life had just gotten too hard !
Poker was rushed to the vet and rushed into surgery, he was too weak and had lost to much blood to undergo a double surgery…
Properly amputating him had to wait.
He underwent reconstructive surgery to try and save his broken back limb.
He’s people friendly , loves to please and loves his treats. With dogs, it’s better if supervised!
