Oggie was rescued after being spotted by an animal lover.
Spotted after clearly being abandoned, this sweet pointer was found curled up in a ball as if he had completely given up on life…
A breed often neglected and misjudged, usually getting the worst of it in our country.
His previous owners surely deemed him unfit to pursue his hunting duties… they literally no longer needed him after his continuous loyal service !
Rushed to the vet, Oggie was diagnosed with a bad case of mange, a skin disease caused by mites found in the hair follicles. Aka scabies !
Mange is often characterized by intense itching, hair loss, and skin infections, and the condition has not spared Oggie any of its horrible consequences.
His blood test also came back showing extreme anemia !
He has received all necessary treatments and has recovered at the shelter.
He’s very sweet , loves human attention and wants to please! He’s good with other dogs. DOB: 8/8/2017
