Nixie was rescued after surviving a hit and run.
This sweet girl was reported to us unable to move and in extreme pain…
The impact left her with fractures in both her front and bag legs, one so bad her fractured bone protruded the skin.
By the time she was spotted she had been immobile for quite sometime suffering in silence…
Rather suffer than ask our race for help!
Her X-rays revealed pellets residue which clearly means she had been shot, and to top it all off her ears have been cropped!
Her encounters with the human race which have obviously left her skeptical, nothing good ever came from it.
To avoid a potential bone infection, Nixie was rushed into surgery to try and save her leg.
Nixie is recovering from her surgeries at the shelter, in parallel she is learning that some of us actually do have empathy, that some us only want the best for her! She’s good with other dogs as long as they don’t crowd her.
