About MAYANA
Meet Mayana, a gentle soul who has known more pain than peace.
She appeared out of nowhere, wandering into the open storage room of a kind stranger — likely her final attempt to find shelter from the unbearable weight of life on the streets.
She was emaciated, her body nothing but skin stretched over fragile bones, a living skeleton barely clinging to life.
But it wasn’t just starvation she was fighting..
Mayana was diagnosed with advanced vaginal cancer — a mass so large, it drags beneath her, tearing at her every time she takes a step.
The tumor has spread to the surrounding tissues, making each day a battle between her will to live and the agony her body is forced to endure.
The sheer weight of this tumor on her frail, starving frame is something no living creature should ever have to bear.
And yet, she still looks up with soft, trusting eyes. She still accepts gentle touch. She still hopes…
Her story is not just one of suffering — it’s one of silent endurance, of quiet courage, of unimaginable resilience.
She didn’t give up. Even when her body failed her. Even when the world turned away.
Mayana has found her way to people who care. She had her surgery; it was successful. She has recovered and is ready for her forever family! She’s calm, friendly and good with other dogs. DOB: 02/02/2018
