Takoda is a seven-year-old female whose strength and resilience will hopefully inspire you like it did us!

Found in the south, she was barely clinging to life, nothing but skin and bones, covered in open wounds, and bleeding from behind her ears.

Her eyes told the story of unimaginable pain, yet she held on to life with a courage that few could understand.

Takoda’s journey to recovery is far from easy…

Once rushed to one of our partnered vet hospitals, she has been diagnosed with leishmania and anaplasma, two serious infections that have taken a toll on her tiny body.

If that wasn’t enough, she is battling severe anemia and a debilitating skin condition.

Despite all of this, she is still fighting, holding onto the hope of a brighter future, and we are determined to give her that future.

Takoda has already started her treatment, but the road ahead is long, and the cost of the medical care she needs is overwhelming.

She deserves so much more than the suffering she has endured. She deserves to feel the warmth of love, the comfort of safety, and the joy of simply being companion.
