This sweet girl we named Gillie was rescued off the streets of Saida.
She was referred to us by an animal advocate in the area as he felt her case needed experienced help.
Gillie is around 7 years old, clearly used for breeding, its our opinion that underneath all her skin condition once lied a beautiful golden retriever…
Gillie was rushed to the vet, she received all necessary tests and exams.
The results broke our heart, as she is suffering from not only a very bad case or sarcoptic mange, and tested positive for ehrlichia, she also suffers from chronic malassezia, severe anemia and to top it all off we have reasons to suspect she suffers from entropion in both her eyes.
Gillie’s life has been a nightmare to say the least, she was forced to give her body and sacrifice over and over again to breed only to have her puppies snatched away and sold.
After giving so much of herself, instead of helping her heal, the people who used her for so many years didn’t need her anymore and so they abandoned her, leaving her to die a slow painful death!
She’s a sweet, mellow dog who loves to cuddles with humans.
