We collect personal information from you when you visit our website, interact with us via our social
media platforms or send us and email… using a device to make a donation, an enquiry, apply for
volunteering, fill an adoption form, register for an event or access pet services. In the same way, if you
call us for volunteering, adoption, to make a donation, or for any other query, you will need to share
some basic information about yourself. Finally when we meet you in person during the adoption process
or a visit to one of our shelters or events you would need to disclose some personal information as well.
PURPOSE FOR COLLECTING DATA
We use your information to send you newsletters, emails about the status of your donation,
sponsorships and membership renewal reminders, details about our campaigns, events, and activities;
updates about pets you sponsor. You may unsubscribe from our Newsletter at any time just by clicking
on the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of our Newsletter.
All information you provide to BETA will only be used by BETA and will never be supplied to anyone
outside BETA unless we are obliged by law to disclose it.
Under the Lebanese laws and regulations mainly under law no. 81 dated 10 October 2018, your legal
rights regarding your personal data are: The right to access a copy of the personal information that we
hold about you, the right to object to our processing of your personal data, if our doing so causes you
distress, the right to have inaccurate personal data rectified or destroyed, the right to have your data
erased from our data base.

Civil Code Section 1798.83, including the right to request information regarding BETA’s disclosure of the
personal information to third parties for the third parties' direct marketing purposes.
INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM CHILDREN
BETA will not, without parental consent, intentionally, collect or solicit any information from anyone
under the age of 14. If the parents or guardians of a child under the age of 14 believe that their child
disclosed to us information that they did not want him/her to, they may contact us through the email
address mentioned in section CONTACT below. If we learn that we have collected or received personal
information of a person who is under 14 years of age without the verification of parental consent, we will
exercise reasonable efforts to delete this information.
